New York Bioscape Conservation Medicine Activities
The Earth Institute at Columbia University

Together with Drs. Fred Koontz and Alonso Aguirre, Dr. Newman will be conducting conservation medicine research and field veterinary activities in the New York bioscape (100-mile radius of New York City). This work includes developing research questions, writing proposals for funding, conducting research, providing field veterinary services, and publishing results. Work is conducted independently and in collaborative teams. He will also work with other Wildlife Trust staff to help devise and implement the strategic development of the New York Bioscape Initiative and other U.S.-based activities of Wildlife Trust.
