The Global Health Seminar Series (GHSS) online archive contains videos of the seminars along with slide presentations, speaker biographies, and the
seminar schedule. GHSS was created by a committee of students and faculty advisors from the four Columbia University Medical Center schools to serve several important purposes:
- to broaden the exposure of students from all four schools to current global health issues and controversies
- to provide an opportunity for interested students to come together to address some of the most critical health topics facing the world today
- to encourage discourse and communication among the different CUMC communities in a way that has never been done before
- to confront the need to coordinate the health professions to solve a variety of global health problems
- to lead to the development of the global health core curriculum at each CUMC school
